If A Minute Was a Dime

Sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm wrong.
Can't really tell if it matters at all.
Been picking my battles, still losing the war.
Can't seem to recall what we've been fighting for.

Give me a reason to keep travelling this road.
And if you can sing with me, it'll lighten the load.

We had a little money, but we didn't have no time
Would be taking it easy if a minute was dime.
Might sound a little funny, but I took it as a sign.

At the start there's intention, at the end there is none.
Taking your chances, your time in the sun.
I dig into each corner, press into the straights.
The roar of the crowd is hard to replace.

And now I'll tread lightly, manage my pace.
And we can still get there, prolong the embrace.

We had a little money, but we didn't have no time
Would be taking it easy if a minute was dime.
Might sound a little funny, but I took it as a sign.
